William Leach's shot at the Hypothesis question posted today in lecture...What is it that groups learn from working together?

I believe the answer lies within the study of common ground.  We learned previously that once common ground is established, it is much easier to communicate in efficient ways in order to accomplish a shared goal.  In many cases, groups who have already worked together will perform better the next time a goal is presented.  This is due to the fact that they are familiar with each other's language, motives, subconscious ways of thinking, facial expressions, etc.  The process of finding common ground is reached more efficiently the second time or third time working together.  Also if groups have worked together previously, the same task or tasks may bring them together again.  It is easier to do a task the second time than the first.
